
Wooden Factory Foundry Mould, Beyer & Peacock
This superb wooden foundry mould came from the factory of Beyer, Peacock & Company factory in Manchester, England - the British steam railway locomotive manufacturer founded by Charles Beyer and Richard Peacock in the 1850s and operational until 1966. They were a major manufacturer and exporter of steam locomotives, which they made along with a vast array of related equipment needed to service and maintain railway engines. This foundry mould would have been used to make cast iron components for trains and related equipment. It measures 43cm x 6cm and is sold together with a 1929 edition of the Beyer and Peacock Review bearing a label 'With The General Manager's Compliments'.
