
Antique Molding Planes (Moulding), 18 in total, English, some early examples
A collection of EIGHTEEN mostly 19th Century beechwood carpenters moulding planes, used for forming the decorative trim around doors, windows and fine furniture. Some of these are quite early (i.e. 150+ years old), many bear the marks of their makers and original owners. Seventeen are 24cm (9.5") long, the longer example is 13".

Buck and Hickman of London (1839-75), two examples
William Greenslade of Bristol (1826-46), several examples
P T Clarke of Exeter (dates unknown)
James Hawksworth of Sheffield (circa 1830), two examples
James Emes of London (dates unknown)
William Shepley of London (circa 1800)
All with signs of use but in good condition, cleaned and lightly waxed. A couple of with worm holes (treated). Irons mostly good, some with surface rust. A couple of knocks to the wedges, consistent with age and use.
