A most impressive antique magic lantern, circa 1890, together with a boxed collection of wooden framed magic lantern slides depicting the story of ‘Dick Whittington’. 34cm high and 70cm long, with lens at maximum extension. Slides 18cm x 10cm.

Condition: Woodwork in extremely good condition. Brass also excellent, with localised tarnishing and oxidation. Both lower lens mount thumbscrews quite tight, one a replacement. Optics clear. Condensiing lens present. Lamp holder adapted for electricity, and will require wiring. Cowl/chimney with later modifications and repainted. Complete, but untested.
