negretti & zambra transit theodolite

A large (40cm/16") and immensely heavy, beautifully-engineered transit theodolite by the London maker, Negretti and Zambra. In it's case, the instrument weighs a staggering 18.9kg (42 lb). Beautifully preserved in its original leather outer case and inside a further fitted mahogany case, it retains its original finish. The compass dial and all bar one of the spirit levels are intact.
