Ernst Plank ‘GLOBUS’ Magic Lantern

An antique toy magic lantern by Ernst Plank of Nuremberg, Germany. This is the company’s ‘Globus’ model, standing 22cm high and measuring 17cm from front to back. It is fitted with a single-wick burner, surmounted by a spherical lamphouse, painted red. The decorative casting supporting the lens and slide carrier is topped by an embossed plate bearing the company’s distinctive winged wheel emblem. The lantern is complete with original wooden box and selection of coloured lantern slides. SOLD.
